HerdRock E Miss Molly 5*M VVEE90
Molly truly is our herd queen! She was brought in the year we decided to go into registered performance Nigerians. She easily qualified for her AR stars in components and volume in less than 170 days as a 2nd freshener which was her first year on test. She has an excellent mammary system and a strong will to milk over a long lactation. She finished her second lactation at 287 days 920lbs 49 pounds of butter fat and 42 of protein! The first test of her third lactation she milked 5.4lbs with 6.3%BF! She maintained over 4lbs until we dried her off before a family vacation. Sadly in 2022 Molly kidded 3 1/2 weeks early (none survived) all testing came back inconclusive. We did bring her into milk but her lactation is not as it would have been naturally so she was dried off. After drying her off we were notified of an appraisal date. I requested she be appraised dry and we were so proud when she scored VVEV 88 completely dry! In 2023 Molly gave us beautiful triplets and started off with a milk test of 5.3 lbs with 6.8% butterfat! The next test she broke her previous milk test high milking 5.8 lbs! She finished her 305 day lactation with 1,207 lbs of milk with 83 lbs of butterfat and 56 lbs of protein!! In 2024 we were finally able to appraise Molly in milk at 7 years old and we are so thrilled that she scored VVEE90!! Molly doesn't like showing so she hasn't been out much over the years but we have resolved to take her more as an aged doe. 2020 Bronze JuJu Award 2022 Linear Appraisal VVEV 88 (DRY) 2024 Linear Appraisal VVEE90 1st Place Aged doe Southern Belle Showdown youth - Karen Smith 2023 |
